A new event for 2026. Start in Garve Village Hall and head west following the highland Railway as far as Achnasheen at about 25k to the first control at Kinlochewe. Loch Maree is the loch you see as you descend Glen Docherty into Kinlochewe and a stop at the viewpoint provides quite a spectacle on a clear day. Continue on destitution roads to Poolewe for a stop in Bridge Garden Cafe before an out and back ride along the south shore of Loch Ewe to the Arctic Convoy memorial. More goodies in Bridge Garden Cafe if you choose then onward up the coast past the Arctic Convoy Museum at Altbea at about 120k. Final control at Corrieshalloch Gorge before crossing the watershed back to Garve Village Hall for a well deserved brew and a butty.
