A ride of mixed scenery and challenges. The Turra Coo starts with a flat ride out along the Moray coast into Banffshire at Portsoy. After Portsoy the terrain gets a bit tougher and heads inland to the market town of Turriff (don’t miss The Turra Coo) before heading across country to Keith at the half way point. The route climbs over to Dufftown, through Glen Rinnes to Tomintoul before climbing up from Bridge of Brown (pronounced Brig O’ Broon) and descending into the flat plains of Strathspey. The final leg goes north towards Inverness before cutting down to a downhill trending lane through Nairnside. Coasts and mountains combined but you’re never far from a small town for rest and refreshment.
